---Almost
fully recoded the installation/unintallation functions to better ensure
activation. (many thanks go to PAYMYRENT for all his help with this!) ---Major
updates to the program's error checking and improved fail-safe code to
better ensure activation. (many thanks go out to PAYMYRENT for his help
with this!) ---Modified the way the program works - the program will
now *only* use slmgr.vbs if it *needs* to. (Under normal conditions,
slmgr will not be used at all.) ---Enhanced error handling to ensure
the product key, certificate and loader file are all installed properly
and if they are not, the user is properly informed. (again, many thanks
to PAYMYRENT for all his help!) ---Added code to lock the loader
file and disallow file system access to it (to keep the loader file
more secure). (thanks for the help PAYMYRENT! ;-)) ---Now when the
loader is run, the "Certificate/SLIC" corresponding to the user's BIOS
should automatically be selected in the "Certificate/SLIC" drop-down
combo box. ---Fixed code that restarts the computer to make it work better and more intuitively. ---Added new TongFang Win7 HomeBasic SLP key.
*1.2.2: ---Fixed SLIC detection with help from PAYMYRENT and code from MasterDisaster. (hopefully it works correctly now!) ---Added custom error handling for any JIT events that may occur (although none ever should)...just in case. ---Added
code to ensure that the program is run with Administrator privileges.
If the program is not run with the required Admin. privileges then the
user will be informed and the program will be terminated. (this is to
ensure the program runs correctly, even if the manifest is stripped)
(thanks to PAYMYRENT for his help here too!) ---Added code to ensure
only 1 instance of the program may be invoked at any given time to
maintain the the integrity of the program.
*1.2.2b: ---Fixed some minor bugs and typos. (Thanks for spotting those MasterDisaster and PAYMYRENT...my bad... :-P)
*1.2.3: ---Now
when the program loads up, the "Product Key" combo box will
automatically be set (like the "Cert/SLIC" combo box is)... The most
recent product key will be selected (e.g. if you have a Lenovo system
and are running Win7 Ultimate, then the "Lenovo (2)" product key will
be automatically selected instead of the older "Lenovo" one). *NOTE: If
no corresponding key exists in the "Product Key" combo box then the
program will default to the "Acer" product key. ---Now when the user
selects the "I have a modded BIOS" option, the "Product Key" combo box
will automatically be set as well, just like the "Certificate/SLIC"
combo box is... This is the same idea as above, but applies to when the
user checks the "I have a modded BIOS" check box as well. ---Minor bug fix for the "Product Key File Editor".
*1.2.4b: ---Fixed a minor bug when checking the product key via the context menu on the main O7A form. *1.2.4: ---Added right-click context menus to O7A's main window. ---Fixed
a minor bug that caused the program to fail to gain the required access
to install/remove the loader file in rare instances. (Thanks to Jelges
for finding that one.)
*1.2.5: ---Added "Advanced Options" section.
*1.2.6: ---Renamed the "I have modded BIOS" checkbox to "Install Key and Cert only" because of changes to how O7A loads. ---Made
it so when you run O7A, the program automatically sets the "Install Key
and Cert only" check box if SLIC 2.1 is already present. (For a 1-click
activator setup :-)) ---Added new HP Windows 7 Ultimate product key. ---Added option to dump the SLIC to a file in Advanced Options window (thanks to PAYMYRENT and MasterDisaster!) ---Added option to dump the Certificate in the Advanced Options window. ---Added
"/NoBoot" command-line argument (or switch). Using this argument when
running O7A will make it so that when a user uses the "Insert SLIC into
bootmgr" option, the hacked bootmgr will be installed normally but O7A
will not run the "bootsect.exe" tool after. This is done to prevent
interference with 3rd party apps like FD that need to run during boot. ---Added the following new SLICs and Certificates: Haier, TongFang.
*1.2.7: ---Made
O7A "smarter" - now when O7A loads up it will try to detect if the
user's system already has the required SLIC 2.1. If the user's system
has SLIC 2.1, O7A will detect the vendor of the SLIC and set the
"SLIC/Certificate" combo box to match the SLIC. O7A will also
automatically check the "Install Key and Cert only" check box, since
the SLIC 2.1 is already present, we only need to install the matching
certificate and a matching product key (if one exists). This way we
avoid the unnecessary installation of a loader file. If O7A finds valid
SLIC 2.1 but cannot locate a matching certificate internally, O7A will
check the "Install Product Key only" check box (and must assume a
proper certificate is already installed) so that only a product key
will be installed because we do not want to risk installing a
mis-matched certificate. The user always has the option to click on the
"Advanced Options" and install a custom certificate that matches the
vendor of their SLIC 2.1... ;-) ---Also added various other checks into O7A to ensure that the user doesn't do something that harms their activation.
